Here is a good place to begin:

Perform some scans for malicious software first, then fix any
remaining issues:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware
detection programs:

Malwarebytes (MBAM): http://malwarebytes.org/
SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

They can be uninstalled later if desired.

Why did you opt to install Google Toolbar when you install Adobe Reader
v8.0?

Try post in Sygate User Forums.

PS: Adobe Reader v8.0 is subject to innumerable security vulnerabilities.
Upgrade to Adobe Reader v9.2 *now*! cf.

The option to install Google Toolbar was prechecked: You'd need to uncheck
it to avoid installing it.
