I've done everything i know about taking this off. i
tried the uninstaller tool they offer didn't work? My
computer takes forever to start-up and sometimes won't at
all? These two problems come up in little windows telling
me the errors. Oh also tried to contact McAfee but they
want three dollars and fifty cents a minute to help? Oh
since then I installed norton but I was having this
problem below before I installed it?

This first window comes up saying:

NT on-Access scanner service encountered a problem and
needed to close. Than,

This other window comes up saying:

McAfee SecurityCenter

Some componets of McAfee Secritycenter are either missing
or may not have been installed properly. Please reinstall
McAfee Securitycenter.

McAfee came with my computer when I bought it it's a HP
Pavilion 540n, 40 GB 1.6GHz, 256MB, Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks Much, Rony.......

Try this - Re-install the application to the same folder it was
originally installed in. Reboot and make sure no errors have
occurred. Then remove the application from Control Panel
Add/Remove programs applet.

Then reboot and run the cleanup tool from McAfee.

Finally download/install RegSeeker. Run the program and
use the "Find" function. Use McAfee as the search string .
Any instances that RegSeeker lists, do a select all and then
delete. That should nick all the remaining components that
are associated with it. Hopefully, using RegSeeker will get
the Services that are loaded by McAfee as well.

Before doing this you might want to do a System Image
Backup.

McAfee has a removal tool - I have had to use it a few times.

This is a very long link, so I used Tinyurl to shorten it:

Give it a try.
