"stand by"

Hi!

I can't run my Windows XP in stand by mode. The buttom is
there besides "shut down" but it's inactive and I can't use
it. Why? And what can I do to fix it?

Visit the support website of the manufacturer of your video card,
search for Windows XP drivers, download and install them. Once
this is accomplished, the Standby button will become enabled.

If you have a notebook PC, then visit the notebook manufacturer's
support website and download the Windows XP video adapter drivers.
