When defrag finished, it told me that the following file (over 200 MB in
size) could not be defragmented:

\found.003\File0001.chk

I know, from DOS days, what a *.chk file is. However I am at a loss as to
how to find & delete the above file. Note that the path shown is exactly
what defrag reported.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks, Percy

it is in your root directory, usually C drive (C:\found.003\File0001.chk)

It is a hidden system file which you must uncheck in the tools>folder
options>view. You can remove it by also doing a clean disk which allows you
to delete old chk files.

Thanks, Frank - I thought I was seeing everything by showing hidden files -
should look at what is on the screen a little more closely sometimes!
