Bill,
> How ironic. You are not supposed to be posting in HTML.
No no, you see that wrong. He /can/ post in HTML, so he has the right to.
And as he has got the right that /ofcourse/ also means that everybody else
has the duty to make sure he's not inconvienced by anything else. Its just
a simple cause-and-effect you see. :-)
But also ironic : someone who demands the use of HTML, but doesn't actually
post (much of) anything that requires it. Like the post you are responding
to. Plain text would have done just fine.
Even more ironic : someone complaining about how very wrong it is that
certain newsservers do not allow him to post whatever he pleases, but than
suggests a newsserver which does not allow me to post /at all/ - unless I
register myself ofcourse, which /ofcourse/ includes having to agree to
whatever rules they have set.
And by the way, freenews is ssslllooowww. Than again, your freedom to be
able to bow to GGs HTML demands is allowed to cost you something, right ?
:-)

Rudy Wieser
P.s.
As Mayayana mentioned, most people will have killfiled him for hits drivel.
If not for his language than because most of it strongly Win10 related and
as such having no place in the newsgroup it is often dumped in (in my case
WinXP), or because its mostly just copy-pasting from newssites.
Oh yea : the only reason I saw your and Mayayana's post is that, for some
reason, GGs post does not seem to have made it to AIOE, even though it had
12 hours to do so (otherwise the while (sub)thread would have been
"killfiled"). I wonder why ...
Than again, AIOE has some time ago blocked crossposting between Win10, Win7
and WinXP, maybe they have added a "no HTML" filter (next to the "no
attachments" and others) for the text (as in opposed to binary) newsgroups
too. Who knows.
