Fix Send To Desktop (Create Shortcut)

Start | Run | Type: sendto | OK
On the File menu, point to New, and then click Text Document.
Name the document:
Desktop (create shortcut). DESKLINK
When you are prompted to verify that you want to change the file name and
its
extension, click Yes.
Quit Windows Explorer.

Once you are in the sendto folder all you have to do is right click a blank
area, go to new, then shortcut. When the box pops up hit the browse button
and you will see desktop at the top, select it by clicking once and hit ok,
hit next and finish. Viola, desktop send to is restored.
