Can't open .gif files

[Goomba]

All of a sudden I can no longer open .gif files. The only recent change is
that I uninstalled LavaSoft's AdAware because it kept freezing up. Any help?

This reg file will restore gif file association to Windows XP default.

Copy between "=====" and paste into notepad, save as gif.reg

Double-click or right-click and merge into the registry.
