Microsoft Picture IT 7.0 & My Pictures problems

I have encountered a problem that I would really
appreciate some assistance with. Please be aware that I
know hardley anyting about computers, and if you don't
mind, answer in simplistic terms.

For some reason, I can not get power point to be
sucessfully installed on my PC, so I am trying to use
Microsoft Picture It 7.0 and My pictures to create a
presentation.

My problem is that I can not save the order of the
pictures and text such that they will show in the proper
order. I get them lined up properly, but when I start the
slide show, the pictures are shown out of the order that
they are supposed to be in. As an example, instead of
showing as A, B, C, D, E; They are showing an order of A,
E, C, D, B. I have tried everything that I could think of
to have the images saved and shown in the correct order,
but try as I may, nothing seems to work.

I appreciate any assistance that you can provide.
