Not really, unless you believe that registry cleaners (which do a scan) are
perfect.

If you ever think your Registry needs to be cleaned, repaired, boosted,
tuned-up, or optimized (it doesn't), read
http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?t=28099 and draw your own conclusions.

Booting up Windows accomplishes this.

If there is a problem, you would learn about it (perhaps by seeing a
BSOD).

Is the "integrity" of the registry all you are concerned about? Or are
there perhaps other questions lurking? If you would like to know about
registry "cleaners" or "optimizers," PA Bear's link should suffice.

Yes, definitely, go read a biased articles written by one of the group here
who are just as biased. Notice that almost nowhere else on the 'net will you
find such a bias unless you find this little group of misinformationists
sites.

Google and read for good information, don't rely on an obviously biased post
from one of the dummies here.

You are the biased one. Each and every time someone points out a problem on
his/her machine
caused by running a registry cleaner, you ignore it and won't respond. You
refuse to admit running
a registry cleaner CAN cause more problems than cure. I submit you don't
even know how a registry cleaner
works.
