If you need a thin client connection to the Windows NT workstation, then you
should install something like VNC if you don't want to do the upgrade.

Are you saying that an NT4 Server can be the Remote Desktop Host? If so, can
you detail the process?

The RD client software is on the XP CD (right on the autorun menu); it can
be installed on any version of Windows. Once it's installed, run MSTSC.EXE
(client) to initiate a connection. If you want NT4 to be the RD host,
you'll need to upgrade to NT4/2000 server, or to XP pro.

There is a special version of NT4 Server called NT4 Terminal Server
that can be the Remote Desktop Host. The standard version of NT4
Server cannot.
