Repetitive WGA download requests

I have installed the Windows Genuine Validation tool with no problem TWICE.
Yet, everyday when I start my computer the icon is there to download updates.
(this just started several days ago) When I go to Windows Updates, it is
ALWAYS for the validation tool.
It is showing in my list of Add ons . I used the update option and it did
not need updating. Will someone explain to me why the update request shows
up everytime if it is already installed TWICE.?
Also, WGA and WGAnotify show up in the HiJackThis
scans. Should I disregard this or it is to be addressed in some way? I
noted some members were having problems with it not successfully installing.

There's one more and there will probably be many more to follow. The new
one calls home with the following information:

Please follow this simple troubleshooting procedure:

1. Download and install the MGA Diagnostic Tool:

2. After running the MGA Diagnostic Tool, click
on the "Windows" tab and then click on "Copy to Clipboard".

3. Next, visit the following website and create a post in the
"WGA Validation Problems" forum and paste the

How will this help? The OP hasn't even downloaded and installed the
spyware yet. He says he has downloaded it twice. There's another one
after that.

Thanks for responding Carey. I will follow those instructions and post back
results. The download that keeps recurring is" Windows Genuine Advantage
Notification", it the Windows Genuine Advantage tool that I have downloaded
twice.
If possible, please explain why notification is needed or if my computer has
been hijacked as noted in a post under this subject title.

Only twice...you say? I would like to bill Microsoft for my TIME
involved in having to download via slow dial-up, these
repetitive validation tools. For gawds sake Microsoft...get it
right for once.
