system working slow

hi,

When i start working on the system, it is working fine and normal,,,
but after 3 or 4 hours, system starts processing slow . when i restart
the pc,
after restarting, again it is working normal.......

there is any process or steps to refresh the system like at the time of
restart the pc,

so i do not have to resart pc again and again.....

Take a look in the Task Manager when the computer starts and take note
of the CPU and Memory usage counters. When the machine slows down take
another look at the counters and see what is different. A leaky
application is a common cause for a machine slowly getting more
sluggish, keep an eye on your running processes and see if some of them
keep on consuming more and more memory or see if any of them are hogging
the CPU cycles. Also, see if any of the processes open a very large
number of handles, like thousands of handles.

it is possible that the slow down
is the result of fragmentation and
low disk space.

you might want to tune up your
file and disk systems.

Is the system over dependent on using the pagefile?

How much RAM?

Try Ctrl+Alt+Delete to select Task Manager and click the Performance
Tab. Under Commit Charge what is the Total, the Limit and the Peak?

You should be able to gather more information from Task Manager. With
the Processes tab open select View, Select, Columns and check the boxes
before Peak Memory Usage and Virtual Memory size. What are the figures
for the 6 processes using the largest amounts?
