Hi I 've been having a great deal of trouble trying to
install my Vampire the Masquerade game on my PC.I've been
on many site for my problem and have not found one
useful tip yet.All I know is that the activision tech
support said it's game may or may not support window2000
ans XP, and have XP.This is what I getting when I attemp
install it.I either get this An error in the move data
process -112. Or when my dnownload installation reaches
99% I get this msg.An error at 99%_ins5576.mp.exe.What
should I do..?Is it my windowXP causing this..?I also try
changing the compatability setting to window98 (is full
compatible with my game) but it's still doesn't work.I
need to know what's causing this and what I can do about
it plz help me.Thank

Not sure which operating system platform the game was written for, Jason,
but try this:
- Put the game CD in your CD-ROM, don't let it start the install process by
holding down the shift key.
- Go to Start/Run and then click on the Browse button, going to the CD-ROM
drive and looking at the root on the CD. You'll find either install.exe or
setup.exe there. Right-click on it, and select Run As... then pick Win98.
- Come back out to the Run line, click OK. It should install in the Windows
98 compatibility mode.
- After it installs, patch it. Then right-click the link you'll use to run
the game, select Properties and then the Compatibility tab. Select to run
it in the Win98 mode.

Sorry, but I'm not quite sure what you're saying about the "download
install." If it is the update file Activision suggests, choose to download
it to your hard drive, not install it over the Internet. After the download
is complete, then do the update from the hard drive locally.

Of course, make sure your anti-virus software and all other open programs
you may have running are shut down.
