switch to desktop while playing games

I have been having a problem whilst playing some games - when certain keys
are pressed with a mouse button the game minimises and the desktop is
displayed. This has happened with Ghost Recon and GTA3, GTA3 being the worst
offender. there seems to be no consistency as to which keys and which mouse
button, but it is normally with two keys and a mouse button.
It doesnt cause a crash but it is very annoying as it is happening every
five minutes.
I have a microsoft internet keyboard and a Trust AMI mouse with dual scroll
(both ps2).
I've tried closing all programs and running the games, and using windows
basic drivers instead of the ones that came with my mouse but neither
helped. I have the latest drivers for all my other hardware as well.

Think i may have solved the problem
the graphics card has video out and i use this as a second monitor on a TV.
if i disable this then i dont get the problem.
