The fbalog.txt (at the bottom of this post) indicates that EWF partition has
been successfully created on the 2nd partition on my disk, but when I run
ewfmgr, it consistantly report no EWF partition found.
Could anyone give me some clue? I have been hangering on EWF for weeks and
at the egde of being crazy.
SOS!

You are getting close now! According to your FBALOG.TXT, you have two HD
disks. The FBALOG.TXT reports only Disk#0. To isolate the problem, do this
in a simple way by physically removing the second disk, then partition your
Disk#0 according to the "EWF" threads on 7/3/02. Once EWF is working, you
can re-attach your second drive. Check your jumper settings!

Thanks for reply!
But problem still remains. The reason fba reports 1 disk is it already can
create
EWF partition on the first one. Here is the fbalog.txt when I remove the
other disk.

Tony, your log looks fine at first glance; however, there are a few things I
notice:
1. You did not uncheck "Start EWF Enable," thus Enable = Enabled
2. Right below the "Found 1 Hard Disk," EWF was being deleted, and later in
the log
EWF was being created. Since the State = Enabled initially, EWF was not
sucessfully set but errors were not reported (my thought).
3. For EWF Partition Size in KBytes," you can just set it to 0, since you
are using RAM Overlay.

Check your "Enhanced Write Filter" Settings and try it again.

Thank you!
I made it sucessfully on another PC. I am still trying to find the reason.
As soon as I have the result, I will report it.
Thanks again!

I got the reason!
In my configuration, "PnP (User-mode) " is not included, which makes the
image fail to function EWF.
Thanks to God! My weeks of work finally paid off!
