error code 0x80090006 A problem is preventing windows from accurately checking the license for this computer

Hello everyone,
This is the first time I post something on a newsgroup. So bear with me if
this has been posted before or on a FAQ. How can I fix a computer that
gets this message at startup and does not let me boot into the OS. The
system is running XP home edition. The message "A problem is preventing
windows from accurately checking the license for this computer error code
0x80090006. I've have gone to the MS Windows XP embedded technical FAQ and
read the message but I don't know any thing about runtime or target
designer? The link is

Hello,

This newsgroup is for XP Embedded which is a whole different animal from XP
home, or XP Professional. Nevertheless, here's a link that may help.
http://support.microsoft.com/search/preview.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q310794 It's
intended for Dell users, but may work in your case. Or maybe you have a
Dell, in either case give it a try it may clear up the problem. You can
disregard the link that you found to XP Embedded as it will not help. Good
