Hi,
I am confused about the information that I need a different rumtime image
license for different device categories (e.g. set-top-box, POS) but can can
clone 10 machines with a single PID for a common deivce type, say 10 POS
terminals.

What will happne if the hardware configurations of these 10 POS terminals
(target device category) are different from one another?

Can I still activate and use 10 POS terminals (with different h/w
configurations) with a single PID or do I need to procure a new PID for each
type of hardware configuration of POS device?

Can anyone please clarify?

Thanks in Advance!!

You should talk with a distributor for more information.

How different are the systems?

The systems are different in terms of hardware being sourced from different
vendors/manufacturers.

Is your final product that you ship, only one product that uses different
boards? Or are you shipping different products?

Yes, that's correct.

As I conveyed in posts that my 'final product' is a single device category
(e.g. POS), but it's the h/w configuration (h/w platform - board, processor,
peripherals etc) of each of these that differ, because of being sourced from
different vendors or manufactureres.

Ultimately my run time image is required to run on a POS, even if it's
underlying h/w is changed.

Hope that I'm much more clear in stating the situation.

Since this is only 1 product, you should be able to only need 1 key for all
thesystems. Talk to a distributor for more detail information.
