Hi, is somebody else here with my trouble using an external usb 2.0 hard
disk drive on motherboard using the nforce2 chipset ?
Well, every time I go to write some big file, windows xp disconnet my
external drive. If I put an add-on usb2 pci card (via or nec) it's all ok
and the same using the same hdd on my kt333 system based. So I think it's a
fault in the usb 2 driver of nforce. Somebody has a solution for me ?
Thanks alot,

Tanja

That has happened to me on an ASUS board. It only happens though if I use
the ports connected to the motherboard USB headers. It works OK if I use
the port built-in on the motherboard (on the I/O plate). So I figure that
the USB port on my PC case is not 100% USB2 compliant.
