I've been having a problem with viewing files in certain
folders, namely the recylcing bin. Lately, the recylign
bin has decided to revert to showing its files as icons,
instead of details, as I set it to. Does anyone know why
windows does this stuff? It's worked just fine since I
installed XP over a year ago, and just theother day it
started this crap.

Open Recycle bin, or my computer.
Go to tools, Folder Options.
view tab
scroll down and check the box for "Remember each folders
view settings"
click apply, then ok
recycle bin should remain as you set it unless you change
the settings for all folders.>.
