a) This isn't an XP question; a better place to ask would be
microsoft.public.windowsmedia.player not sure exactly what it's called in
the web interface you're using).
...pause...
Oh, I see you *have*, by multiposting - as well as to at least the Basics,
General, New Users and Perform_Maintain groups. DO NOT DO THIS. Crosspost
instead, which sends ONE message to your chosen groups together.
b) An even better place to look in the first instance would be a good web
search engine. You could have found the answer yourself in less than the
time it took you to type your request! As a "good techie" I'm surprised you
didn't know that already. The first promising result I found was at
www.playflv.com
c) You really shouldn't reveal your true e-mail address in a message like
this; you open yourself up to all sorts of spam.

I hope that was direct and enough to the point for you...
I don't use Windows Media Player to play anything ever. Instead I use Media
Player Classic. I also have CCCP installed (Combined Community Codec Pack).
With those two I'm able to play everything I throw at it.

This one website you can enter a link from any website, it will download the
video to it's server, convert the video, and then let you download it in
whatever format you choose out of one or two options.

jeffreyda...@myway.com, and different everytime I click convert;
what's the point.
The "LDSMN Munge Converter". I don't get it, nor do I need to have my email
be complicated or exhibit like I'm with the secret Penagon or something.

When i entered your address, I got:
jeffreydavidmorri...@myway.com
The point is simple. If you post your actual email address on these
newsgroups, the odds are your email address will be harvested by bots and
crawlers of all sorts and that you will end up on many mailing lists you did
not intend to. You will likely increase the amount of spam you get.
For example - the email address I use, unmunged, is not used for anything
else. It is not advertised anywhere else. However - the amount of spam it
gets weekly is astounding. A similar address I setup at the same time but
have given to practically *no one* gets *zero* spam. These addresses are of
the same age with the same extension, one has only been used here and one
has not been advertised in any manner. The latter gets zero spam, the
former gets approximately 3000 spam messages each 30 days. I have *no
doubt* of the reason.
To answer your original question...
Get "SUPER"...
http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html
Downloading it is the hardest part - really - I'm not making that up. It is
really a frustrating product to get downloaded from the site. hah
As for the multi-posting instead of cross-posting. Yeah. Annoying.

I am not sure how many websites it works with, but I've used it to download
videos and music. It's pretty fast too.
