Hi All...
The first time i try my winxp is trough upgrading from win2k. In this
upgrade mode, I can see the welcome screen where all the user accounts are
listed. So, basically I am happy with the welcome screen, but seems that
this upgrading have major problem (can't shutdown), I've to do fresh install
of my win xp.
Now, I've done the fresh install of my winxp, and it giving me not the
welcome screen, but instead, the logon screen style of win2k, but with winxp
logo.
I've try to search how to appear my welcome screen, but I haven't figure out
how to make it appear.
Anybody knows how to solve this problem ?

The second thing that irritates me is that when u click on the start button,
u can see your login name and small picture that representing the login Id
right ?
well... in my winxp, I can't see that. So, basically, I can only see the
name only. How to make the picture appears ?

Pls help. Thanks...

1. are you connected to a domain now? if so, XP disables the welcome screen
and user picture.
2. if not, go to Control Panel > User Accounts > Change the Way Users log on
or off > make sure "Use the Welcome Screen" is checked, and, optionally,
"Use Fast User Switching"

if none of these works, is there more than one user account on the computer?
If "Administrator" is the only account, then the welcome screen is bypassed.
Also, the user picture will not be shown in the start menu if you are using
the Windows CLassic Theme

log on and it will fix both problems for you when you use
the welcoe screen, and you will see the pictures for your
accounts also.
