Aloha.

I have just installed Build 2600 and I do not have Themes
available on the Display tab.

I am logged on as administrator and the files are on the
hard disk.

Could anyone help me with this problem?

The Theme options may have been disabled. Run GPEDIT.MSC and check
this under User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Control
Panel > Display > Desktop Themes.

Thank you for responding. I did notice that kind of fix
in the knowledge base. It did say that was for the
Professional edition and I am using the Home Edition.
However, I still tried to find it.

I did a search of my system and GPEDIT.MSC is not
present. I will continue to look.

Thanks again.

GPEDIT does not exist on Home.

I am just wondering how to turn themes on in the Home
Edition. The Luna folder is on the hard disk. It is just
that the THEMES tab does not show in CONTROL
PANEL/DISPLAY.

thank you,

Ok, here's a question. How did you update to build 2600? I have tried the
"Windows Update" feature but the only update that has appeared is the one
for SB Live Drivers. I am running .build 2526 (and it'only a week old, if
that.).

Please reply if you could assist!

I received the build 2600 on CD through the snail mail
from Microsoft.

Aloha, Mike -

Since you're a beta tester, you should be posting in the tech beta
newsgroups.

Themes yes, visual styles no.

I fail to see why. Surely other visual styles using the same system as Luna
should be possible.

I am using WB XP Beta 6 on RC2 and have far to many niggly problems with it
compared to Luna (eg many windows not being styled).

How sure can I be that these will be fixed in the final WB XP release?
Will it be available for trial like WB normally has been?

It these things are sorted and I can trial it then I will be buying. (Also
will the be an Object Desktop XP?)
