problems with desktop "stretch" of image across screen

In XP display properties, in desktop tab, you can either
"tile/stretch/center" your chosen desktop image. PROBLEM: Whenever I
choose "stretch", the image shifts to the "bottom-right" of the screen
- which is wrong. HOW do I make the chosen image stretch across entire
screen....currently it refuses to stretch correctly??? Note: I tried
both .bmp and .jpg format image files. Any help appreciated. JW

Problem solved! WallpaperOriginX and Y must =0; using Start-Run type
Regedit, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop.
