HI,
I have an external HD and i am trying to make a copy of it
to another external HD for backup. The transfer runs for a
few minutes and then i get an access denied error for a
Thumbs.db file. I do a search for this file and the search
comes up empty. Is there another way to get rid of these
files?

I have turned off the feature but now i just want to
remove the files, they don't show up and i have my folder
settings set to show all hidden files.
Please advise,
Thanks
Pablo

Thumbs.db is hidden by default. Change Folder Options> View to show hidden
files. Since you're not using thumbnail view, you can then search the
system for thumbs.db and delete all that are found from the Search Results
window.

If you decide to use thumbnail view sometime in the future, you would need
to de-select the thumbs.db file before copying: Open image folder. Select
All. Then press Ctrl and click on Thumbs.db to remove the selection
highlight from that file only.

Ouch! Missed that last line in the post. Thanks for pointing out. If they
have hidden files shown, they also need to NOT hide system files in Folder
Options. Thumbs.db carries the hidden and the system attributes.
