Please don't multipost. It's annoying.

Why is it annoying?

Multiposting just fragments the thread, so someone who answers in
one newsgroup doesn't get to see answers from others in another
newsgroup. And for those who read all the newsgroups the message
is multiposted to, they see the message multiple times instead of
once (they would see it only once if you crossposted instead).

If you must send the same message to more than one newsgroup,
please do so by crossposting (but only to a *few* related
newsgroups).

Hmmmm....he's talking multiposting *same article in one group multiple times*
I see nothing about multiposting in the url but then again I got tired of
reading it:). As for cross posting I see nothing wrong with it as all/most ng
readers support it. I think ppl have a misunderstanding of ng's. Here's my
stance on it. I'm walking down a long hallway and all that is on the walls
are post boards with postit notes on them and above each board it states a
topic for that board. So I post a note on one board and carbon copies of it
on other boards...so let's assume someone reads two of the boards ie:has
subscribed to 2 boards* and read the note on the first board then the
crossposted on the second board would be marked as read also so he knows he
has no need to read it again and most likely won't even show up on the second
board since it's marked as read. I'm not looking for a flame sit here just
convo about my persception on this topic. Thanks. I also see nothing wrong
with ppl /msg $me on an irc chat support channel were as alot of others do.

My 2cents worth.
