Just wondering if I can move 'My Documents' to a
different partition on my hard drive without messing
things up? For that matter, I'd like to move 'Documents
and Settings' for all users on my computer to another
partition.

You can't move Documents and Settings, but you can move individual user Shell Folders. TweakUI for XP will do this. You can find links to download it at http://www.aumha.org/freewarez.htm#toys

Just right-click on My Documents, select Properties, and
click Move. You can't do that with Documents and Settings
though.

Doug, as you've seen this can be done. It is quite easy, but... If you
have 'stuff' in there you don't want to loose, make a backup first! More
than once I've seen in these groups where all has been lost in an attempted
move. I do have mine on a separate drive & partition, so I'm not saying
don't do it, just be safe! If the data is precious have a backup.
