Is win2k advanced server can be upgraded to win2k professional? Your
comment will be much appreciated.

No, it is not a supported upgrade path to XP Pro.

No not with Advanced Server but you can do a dual boot or a clean install,

Hi,

Server editions of NT-based OSes (including 2000) can't be upgraded to XP,
since XP is a desktop/workstation OS. The next upgrade for server OSes will
be the .NET Server series, due out sometime this year - see
http://www.microsoft.com/windows.netserver for more details.

If you want to use XP on that system, you'll have to do either a dual-boot
setup or completely replace Win2K with XP. Since you're already running a
server OS on that system, however, I doubt you'll want to do either for the
reason stated above.

Hope this helps,
Ryan Smith
