When I try to create a RIS image by running riprep.exe I
receive an error saying it cannot located a dll. The
Windows XP Deployment article indicates that you are able
to install XP via RIS.

searching groups.google.com with the keywords "riprep windows xp"
helps a lot ;-). I got the same problem, and the solution to this
problem is obviously to use a riprep.exe from a Whistler Server CD.
The update, microsoft mentions in
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/TechNet/prodtechnol/winxppro/reskit/prbc_cai_facb.asp
is not available yet.

Windows 2000 riprep.exe will not work with XP. An updated riprep.exe, etc.
