fxscount.h missing in XP

laptop with XP SP2. I cannot find the fxscount.h dll file for XP Pro or Home
other than for the small business Server 2003 OS. The printer portion is
working, it is the FAX I cannot get to work. Can someone please tell me
where I can download this file or how I can make this work? The DLL sites
I've checked don't have it listed.

to make the program. It is entirely possible that HP chose to use that
extension for some other purpose, but it seems highly unlikely that HP would
use a ".h" extension for a DLL.

know how to do the 2 way test yet.

two way communication.

Save / extract the files to a convenient permanent folder, and point the FAX installation there to access them.

The only downloadable file on that page is an exe file. An unzip utility is useless. The only thing you can do with it is run it and install the 2003 server you specifically say to not install (which reinstalls part of the operating system or something.)
I found and manually extracted some of the files but cannot find the cov files you mention, and if what I'm specifically trying to do is install MS Fax, how can I manually install it?

1) install WinRAR. (See: http://rarsoft.com/download.htm)
2) Then, right click on the .exe file downloaded from the Microsoft link given by Brian Hall AND select extract files to {your file name goes here} from the list that pops up
3) Then during the setup process, when prompted for the missing file's location, point (browse) to the location where you used WinRAR to extract the files to (**Since we are talking Windows XP here, this should be (by default) located under Documents and Settings, then your user folder, then My Documents, then Downloads or for default OEM installs of Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\Downloads)
4) DONE! ;)
