I get an 800B0003 error code when trying ot update my domputer

I keep getting an error code 800B0003 error code when I run Windows Udate.
Can anyone help? I haven't been able to update windows since May as I have
been out of the country and I can't find any information pertaining to
windows update and the error listed aboce. I am stuck! Please help!

The error 0x800B0003 occurs in your Windows Update.log due to mismatch in digital
signature. This issue can be fixed by enabling "use http 1.1 through proxy connections" in
Internet Options.

To enable "use http 1.1 through proxy connections"

1. After Opening Internet Explorer click Tools / Internet Options.
2. Click the Advanced Tab.
3. Remove the check from use HTTP 1.1
4. Place a check in Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections.
5. Attempt to access the Windows Update site again.
6. If you are still experiencing difficulties with the update site, try having both HTTP
1.1 and HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections checked."

I have tried the solution below and it doesn't work. I have also try uncheck
the digital signature from the Internet Option in Advance Tab and still it is
not working. Can someone give me a solution pls. Thanks!

I did according to the link you sent me. It is not working and i just realise
another problem. btw, let me list out the problem again.

1. I cannot use windows update due to error code 800B0003
2. I cannot install Windows Live Messenger
3. I cannot install ActiveX control from various site including Microsoft
(new problem).

new problem which is i cannot install ActiveX control from most website
including Microsoft website.
