Windows Updates not downloading

I recently found out that I have not gotten a windows update since the last
of 07. I have tried to get them on line but I get an error 0X80070008. I
have followed the instructions in the help and support section but I still
get the same thing.

That sucks.
What operating system are you running?
- Windows 2000 (No SP, SP1, SP2, SP3 or SP4)?
- Windows XP (Home, Professional, Media Center Edition (2002 or 2005),
Tablet PC Edition, x64) (No SP, SP1, SP1a, SP2 or SP3)?
- Windows Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, Ultimate) (No SP or
SP1)?
- Other?
No point in taking a WAG on that one and getting it wrong and actually not
helping you (and wasting your time), eh?
