I have 84 approved updates to assign to a new XP computer on our network.
WSUS has found the machine and i have put it into the relevant groups etc. I
need the machine updated now so do not want to wait for the server to push
out the updates at the alotted time we have set, so I have logged in as an
Admin and have updated the machine manually. It has installed only 14
updates. I have spoken to someone else and they have told me that this is
correct and I need to be patient for the machine to re-register itself with
WSUS before it starts installing the rest. Does any one know how I can force
this registration so I can get my machine updated asap?

Thanks

Open a command prompt, then "wuauclt /detectnow". If it does not work as
expected, check %windir%\windowsupdate.log.
