Slee, just reboot and once XP loads go to Internet
Explorer>Tools>Internet Options>Content>Certificates>Look for any
expired and remove.

You cannot install some updates or programs

Have a particular look at :
Method 8: Verify the status of all certificates in the certification path and import
missing or damaged certificates from another computer

I am also getting this error code on windows update, 0x80096010. I have all
my certificates good as per the article quoted in the last post. Any more
ideas?
