Hi christian,

Having had no experience utilizing SUS, I am taking a stab in the dark on
this one. I think that the error code that you're receiving relates to an
invalid URL. Perhaps the URL information for the server is stored in the
registry under the GUID {3DA21691-E39D-4DA6-8A4B-B43877BCB1B7}? Do a search
of the registry, using that GUID for search parameters. If the search
results in a "hit", look in the right-hand pane for entries that may refer
to the Windows Update Server or Software Update Server. If there are entries
that refer to the server, double-click on each of the entries and look at
the ValueData field.......does it contain a URL for the Windows Update
server? If so, then ensure that the URL is correct.

If I am out in left field on this one, as I may very well be, perhaps post
your question to the software update services newsgroup:
microsoft.public.softwareupdatesvcs

Regards,
