I am running Windows ME and I would like to be able to
take screen shots of my desktop. But I can't seem to find
a paint program built into my ME operating system. I also
have windows Office XP installed on here. I went through
every program on the start menu, but still could not find
one. I'm sorry to say that at this point I am computer
STUPID. I know about the Print Screen key, but I have no
idea how to retrieve it or where to retrieve it from.
Could you great people help me in laymens terms. Thanks
for your help.

a.. Click the Start button in the lower-left corner of your screen.
b.. Choose Settings, Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs.
c.. Select the Windows Setup tab at the top of the Add/Remove Programs
Properties screen.
d.. Highlight the Accessories option, then click the Details button.
e.. Scroll down the component list, check the box next to Paint (if it
isn't already checked), and click the OK button.
f.. Press the OK button to install MS Paint.

Thanks David, I did what you said. Can you tell what is
supposed to happen when I hit the Print Screen button or
what folder I need to goto to retreive the screen shot?
Thanks again for your help.

When you hit print screen it basically copies what ever is on the screen. So
in Word or Paint, click edit->paste and hey presto you'll have a screen
dump.
