Overall it looks like your unable to download the cab file from Windows
Update.
Can you please verify the iudent.cab exists in
C:\Program Files\WindowsUpdate\V4\temp
If the temp folder does not exist in V4 please create it.
Ensure the folder has Full Control permissions
How about the a folder called WUTEMP does that exist? If so please delete
the contents of the folder.
Another possible cause is an application blocking the download. Here's a
list of some apps known to intercept Windows Update.
NetSonic Pro 2.0 Fast Net 99
NetZIP Web Cellerator
Norton system works 2000 Web Turbo
GetRight Alexa
AtGuard Gozilla
Internet Boost 99 Bonzi buddy
Peak Jet MicroSurfer
Web Early PC-cillin
Turbo Explorer No More Ads
Let us know the outcome.

There was no C:\Program Files\WindowsUpdate\V4\temp folder. I created it and
enabled the permissions.
There was no WUTEMP folder to delete.
I don't thave any of the applications you listed below.
Now I am getting a TCP_ERROR.
This is the latest part of the log file:

Disregard the TCP_ERROR. I tried www.windowsupdate.com and got through, but
with the same error of downloading iuident.cab.

I first want to apologize for not getting back in touch with you for such a
long time. My cable/internet provider was performing "maintenance" in my
area and I was without internet access for a week.
The first thing I did, when my access was restored, was try
windowsupdate.microsoft.com...and I had no problem connecting and
downloading the updates. I didn't even install the iuident.cab from your
email.
I don't know if the problem was with my ISP or the site. Either way, thanks
for your help...it was and is greatly appreciated.
