Problem with windows update site

Hi I am running Windows XP Pro x64 Edition
My software version is 5.2 SRV03_SP2_GDR.090319-1204 (build 3790)
I have installed Internet Explorer v8.
When I click on the windows update it connects to the front page of WU
and I then click on the Scan for Updates button. After a few seconds
it comes back with the message Windows update Error. Windows Update
has encountered an error and cannot display the requested page.
Help need to get the update working again, it has been like this for a
couple of weeks.

Try searching the microsoft site for "Reset windowsupdate".
There is a 'fixit" default solution which could solve your problem.
