I downloaded IE7 and now it takes forever to open IE7 or to do anything on
it. Is there anything I can do to speed things up? I've cleaned out all my
cookies, deleted my history, done a virus scan, defragged my computer. I
don't know of anything else to do. I'm so fed up with it taking so long that
I downloaded Firefox and that is doing the same thing. Taking forever to
open, and to go to different web sites. When I did the virus scan, no worms
or infections were found. I am currently using McAffee for my firewall and
virus protection.

Any help from anyone would be so greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

You may have a horked install of IE7. I suggest reading the following
link...

...and then uninstalling and reinstalling IE7 per Sandi's tips, and using
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx as the installation source,
not Automatic/Windows Update.

Try by add more memory.I'm using 512 of memory but I'm planing to updrade to
1.5GB. Also check your addons. I noted that using the Phishing addon my
computer get slow. You may try to upgrade your hard disk. And finally your
internet conection and firewall.
Hope this help.
