Hello,
I am going nuts with the folowing error every time I try to update to SP2

I have tried renaming catroot2 after stopping the cryptography service. I
have tried reinstalling IE6 both of which were suggestions from support
websites and still I get the error. There is an error file in catroot2
which reports the following:

These suggestions are a shot in the dark but

Ttry running CHKDSK /R from a command prompt. I've seen disk errors create
some pretty strange and unrelated error messages.

Try running the DiskCleanup tool and delete all Temporary files.

I'm not sure if MS uses the Windows Installer to install their service
packs. You could try installing the newer Windows Installer 3.1..
