Greetings,

After I successfully install KB900485 it keeps re-appearing in the update
list, I tried to uninstall and re-install it, clearing cookies, temps folders
(including temporary internet files), tried to uninstall then delete the
$NtUninstallKB900485$ folder in c:\, I tried to download the update from
microsoft then manually install it as well.

I would like to know how to solve this issue since none of what I tested
worked.

Thanks a lot for your help and time.

Try disabling your anti-virus application and any anti-spyware applications
running real-time protection before installing 900485, Serge. (Or just
decline the install and hide it.)

Greetings,

After rebooting I tried to install the update again and I get error code
0x800f0102 wich I am unable to get support for.

What should I do with this error number ?

For an odd reason I cannot explain, the update was not able to copy the new
aec.sys over the old one, I did it manually and it worked !

Courtesy of Serge <Se...@discussions.microsoft.com>

Copy the new "aec.sys" over the old one.
The new version is 5.1.2601.2180
The old version is 5.1.2601.2078

Copy the one from "C:\WINDOWS\$hf_mig$\KB900485\SP2QFE" or "C:\WINDOWS\Driver Cache\i386"
to
"C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers"
