my xp make every on start up scandisk. but i have no
errors on my hdd. why does scandisk come? why can i am
stop scandisk on startup. i need help please!!!!!!!!!!!
my english not the best why i am a german

go into the control panel, scheduled task icon and if you
have that as a task at start up, then delete it or set it
for a specific time needed.

Hi Christian,

This may be way off base, but you are shutting down using the start button
and selecting shut down from the menu, aren't you? If you power down by
turning the computer off at the processor, Windows may run scandisk at the
next startup to check for disk errors. Just a thought.
