MSN mail won't open after installing latest Microsoft update

Today when I turned off my computer, it gave me a message that automatic
updates needed to be installedm and to click "shut down" to install them. I
went ahead and clicked "shut down." Now that I am back home and want to
check my email, when I click on the MSN mail icon, it comes up and starts
loading, but then closes and says "Goodbye."

This happened before, and I did a sytem restore. But this time, the
computer is telling me that the restore is incomplete because nothing has
changed, despite the fact that I just installed whatever automatic update
Windows did to itself. What do I do now?

A restore pooint should be done prior to installing an update. You can also
go back to the restore point prior to the one you chose.
