Download it from here - (Save to Disk) then run it direct not via
updates. Should be fine, if not post again.

This error message may occur if you have insufficient permissions to the
Windows
Update registry keys. The WindowsUpdate.log file will also read errors
0x80070005 and 0x80080005.

You are aware of the Windows haters. They could simply plug in
"Windows" for Symantec in your statement, substituting "computer"
for "Windows OS." Still, I don't think they'd say it was malware.

Everytime i try to install a program that recquires WINDOWS INSTALLER i
receive the message"Windows Installer did not initialize...installation

all run ....perfectly. I AM STUMPED!!! If a clean install is necessary please
advise...i'm doing my best NOT to have to re-install windows and therebye

BTW it really is not helpful to have a thread renamed long after
