When I run for window update from Microsoft, they said I need to install
ActiveX control in order for the page to display properly and they won't let
me do the update w/out installing ActiveX control, should I install ActiveX
control in my computer since install it can harm your computer also, install
spyware and software they can collect info about you, take control of your
computer in some case w/out you knowing it. Can I uninstall ActiveX control
after I installed it?

One can *not* use Windows Update without the ActiveX software control
being first installed. Allow it to install.

I've still got the same problem--cannot get the scan bar to show for checking
updates--where did you find the active X to download ??

The green bar never shows up ? Not sure what your issue is. Do you have
another thread where you've posted to or is this your first post ?
