Thank you . I learned my windows XP may be hacked. I bought this tower used
at a computer show. I was able to download Windows security fixes, but not
the updates. I was able to down load XP recovery to 6 floppys but when i got
to get the recovery console it asks for administrator password. I used what i
have been using and it did not work. I went in and changed users and created
a new pass word the reinstalled the 6 floppy but still no recognition of
password. is this futile due to possible hacked copy?

Did you try nothing? (no password)
