When I start my computer I get the message that there is
an error and my ECOMWR.DLL file is missing. How do I get
it back?

Hello,
That DLL is not from Windows. I searched my system (Win XP) & I found a very old version of that. It came from a 1998 program -- a utility called Nuts and Bolts from Network Associates.

If you still have the program, contact the vendor support.
Meantime, run MSCONFIG and do a thorough review of all programs listed in the Startup Tab.

BTW, This specific group is for problems at Windows Update website. You need to find and use a 'general' group for your specific Windows version.

Here is the general one for Win XP:
This link is for your Outlook Express

or 'other' newsreader.

If you have Windows 98, see this group microsoft.public.win98.gen_discussion
