Security Update Killed SSL for Server 2000

We're always up to date on all necessary patches. Yesterday, we installed
the latest set of patches (about 9 of them) and now our SSL no longer works
on the server.

SSL Diagnostic (MS's tool) returns the following:
#WARNING: AcquireCredentialsHandle failed with error -2146893051(0x80090305)

And LSASRV now returns an Event 5000 in the System Event Log with the
description of:
The security package Microsoft Unified Security Protocol Provider generated
an exception. The package is now disabled. The exception information is the
data.

Of course Windows Update (as well as Microsoft) has been down all day today
and we can only go and view the Update History.

Anyone got any suggestions ?

For anyone who has problems with any of the service/security patches, you
might wanted to try what I did. Basically, I go to the 'Update History' and
find the entire list of patches (by KB #) and then go to MS's Search and ONLY
search the KB (sometimes you might needed to drop the 'KB' prefix). I then
manually download each and everyone one of the patches and then manually run
them again.

So far, this seems to have fixed the problem. So perhaps there was an error
in the file when it was updated or something else. But at least it's working
now.
