Recently had an Ezula infection and had to reinstall XP Pro, ran spy ware and
registry cleaner and shows that everything is clean of the Ezula thing, but
know I have had to download SP2 again. Everything says that SP2 download was
successful but I am having a lot of problems. When I search SP2 files and
folders I have a lot of entries that show up in Blue when the rest are in
black, there are also some blue entries in the registry that were not there
until I downloaded SP2. What does this mean? Also ie6 does not work, I have
attempted to reinstall it but that doesn't seem to help, even installed
Netscape and still cannot open any pages. ie6 does not have an uninstall or
fix feature.

Can anyone tell me what is going on here? The computer is a Sony Vaio 520GB
with 1.50 GB RAM. Scan disks and defrags don't help. I'm about ready to just
shoot this thing.

Did you format & reinstall or do a Repair Install? The latter will not
address the problem.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.

Formatted and did a clean install. HijackThis finds nothing.
