Which specific updates are these? and do be explicit that you refer to some Windows Update items.
Some Windows Update hotfixes are removable; while others are not. How to tell the easy way:
Go to Control Panel; then to Add Remove Programs. Then look for the Tab called "Change or Remove programs".
The *removable* update items (from Windows Update) are named "Windows XP Hotfix......."
You'll have to scroll down the list. (Obviously I'm assuming this is XP. If not, it will be named something like it).
