The above Windows XP update has downloaded( possibly incorrectly ). When I
install it, it says it has completed but does not ask to re-start the laptop.
The icon re-appears to say it needs installing. The update is not in the
ADD/Remove list. I suspect the download is corrupt and I need to clear the
down load file area so that it will download again hopefully correctly. I
believe I need to rename the current file area , then creat a new one with
the original name, thereby having a clear download file. I do not know how to
do this, I need simple step by step instructions. Can anyone help?
Thanks for your help

KB954430 is a Vista SP1- or SP2- and Windows Server 2008 SP1- or
SP2-specific update: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/955430

Is Vista SP1 or SP2 installed on another partition?

I have Windows XP Pro installed in my computer and I'm receiving this
update throug Automatic Updates.

When I install it, it says it has completed but does not ask to re-
start the system.
The icon re-appears to say it needs installing..... Several times!

How to solve this error?

Best regards,

Miguel D
